I finished two bowls today and have two more very close.
The bowl on the left is a Black Cherry bowl that is slightly over 9″ in diameter and 3″ tall. Note the hole that was once a branch.
The bowl on the right is an Ambrosia Red Maple bowl that is just under 9″ in diameter and 3″ tall. The streaking and figure is caused by a beetle that bores into the tree. If you look closely you can see the holes in the bowl!
Both bowls are finished with Mahoney’s Walnut oil, a natural oil that will dry.
